Around Nanchang

Here are some photos we've taken around the city of Nanchang, in no particular order.

View from our hotel window.  Yes, it is very smoggy.  This was a cloudy day, but even on a sunny day it is "cloudy".

 Boys in the hotel.

Caylie's crib.  She wanted nothing to do with it the first night, but she doesn't seem to mind now.

This track and field were right outside our window.  (Well, 24 floors down!)  Every day we watched different things occurring on it, like kids playing soccer and basketball, a car driving around the track over and over in circles(??), a man standing in the center with an umbrella in the rain for several hours (???)  and school students doing their morning exercises.  It was a source of entertainment before we got Caylie, haha.

Here are the students doing their exercises.  There must have been several hundred.

 Mama and her girl.

The lobby of the Galactic Peace hotel.

I don't even know when this was taken.

Police cars.

Took this from inside our van.  This man is pulling a cart that is piled high and long with packages and bags.

Electric wires wound around tree branches and poles.

Here's that same guy, going by our van.

And there he goes.

Traffic on a side street.  Hopefully I can get some good video of the insane traffic before we go.

A monument we saw on the way to Walmart.

What looks to be a very old crane or something, still being used in construction.

A building we saw on the way to Walmart.

This man was playing a zither of some sort for money outside of Walmart.

The boys at a monument near Walmart.

Stores near our hotel.

Scooter parking.

Apartment building.  One of zillions.

A plate full of sea horses and a plate full of sea cucumbers.

Dinner at a Chinese restaurant our guide took us to last night.  I tried the eel.

Caylie snarfing down her fried rice.

Boys at the supermarket.

And back at the hotel, there is fun at the pool!  Here, you must wear swimcaps!  Haha.

I took these from the window of the pool room at the hotel.  They are apartments in the neighborhood, next to our 5-star hotel.

The view from our hotel at night.
