October

This will be a hodge podge of October pictures!  Let's begin with one of me with my sweet Elias.
 💙💗💜

One day there was a beautiful rainbow - complete from end to end - when we were coming home from school.
Samuel took these photos through the car windshield while I was driving.

Jim and I bought this swing in 1989 for our first baby.  Brittany, Taylor, Keelan, Justin, and Tessa have all swung in it.  And now Elias, too.

We went to several Eaglecrest High School football games.  The team was great this year and went to the state finals.  And they have a really great marching band.  😊

There were so many of these trees this year, that go from green to a bright red!  So awesome.

Caylie was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome in early September.  I need to do a separate post about that.  We saw several doctors during October!

 Beautiful Colorado.
Sometimes it looks like this in October . . .

. . . and sometimes it looks like this!

Caylie had her tonsils out.
She was very chipper and happy at the beginning.

But afterward she was not very happy.  She had a difficult time coming out of anesthesia.

Trying to smile after coming home, but not being very successful.  After a few days of laying on the couch watching tv and eating ice cream, she was much better.  And she doesn't snore anymore!

My favorite trombone player.  He is serious about it, too!

I think I posted this picture in a previous entry, but it's so cute, I'll put it here, too.  😊  I am soooo proud of my marching band kid!

I love this photo of Justin's marching band trombone section!

This was the first  band concert of the year.

 Beautiful Colorado sunrise!
"The heavens declare the glory of God."  Psalm 19:1

Caylie and Tessa wearing snuggly sleepers on a cold day!

The remainder of these pictures are from Eaglecrest High School's homecoming activities.  Justin was the only freshman band member chosen to go on the Homecoming Spirit Bus to the different elementary and middle schools in the area.  So proud of him!

Riding the Spirit Bus.

Parade in one of the schools.

Pep tunes in one of the school gyms.
I heard that they went to 11 schools that day!

And another pep assembly at Eaglecrest on the day of the game.  He's the trombone player on the right side in the brown pants.

Practicing outside before the homecoming parade.

And here they come!
The Eaglecrest High School Raptor Regiment!

You can't see his head much,
but he's the one in brown pants!

Caylie got a balloon and candy.  She was happy.  😄 Eaglecrest won their homecoming game, and every other game they played this year, until the state finals.
