Last Day in Indiana

On Sunday the 29th, we drove to Anderson, IN, where we used to live.  We visited the church we once were a part of, though now they have a new building.  It's always fun to see old friends and to see the city that is still "home" in many ways.

After church we went for a walk on the Anderson University campus, where Jim & I, and Brittany & Brad all went to college.  Here is Caylie with John Morrison, first president of the college.  Over the years we've taken many pics with him!

John and me.  ;)

Caylie at the campus fountain.  Jim and Taylor trying to push each other in.  Neither succeeded.  ;)

Then we drove to Upland, IN to Ivanhoes restaurant, where they have 100 different shakes and 100 different sundaes.  Always yummy and great fun!  This is Caylie and her friend Addison enjoying their lunch.

A Garfield photo to commemorate Caylie's first visit to Ivanhoes!

And the boys joined in, as well.

After lunch, we went to our friends, the Johnsons, house in Upland.  They just moved there a year ago, after doing life and being family with us for many years in Colorado.  (I blogged about their move in this post. ) We miss them a lot!  You can't tell that by my lack of pics, though.  Haha.  This is the only picture I took there . . . Caylie with their new grandson, Sebastian.

The next day - Monday the 30th - we drove all the way home from Lafayette, Indiana to Aurora, Colorado.  These photos are of the Colorado sunset in our last hour on the road.  We are so grateful to God for a wonderful vacation, full of family and friends and many blessings.
