Our Article 5 was picked up by our agency's courier on Wednesday, and overnighted to the CCCWA. So we began our wait for Travel Approval on Thursday. This has been taking a couple of weeks lately, but just this week I heard of two families who got theirs in less than ten days. So I'm praying for that for us! Afterall, the same God who allowed us to have a 35-day LOA wait can do this, too!
We had our travel meeting at the agency on Tuesday. I've been gathering over-the-counter meds and clothes and shoes for Caylie and the boys, and other random items that I've been told we should pack. Jim has been looking at airline prices (yikes), but we cannot book anything until we have our Travel Approval and Consulate Appointment. We'll be getting some quotes from two or three travel agents, and working with our agency's in-China rep for our in-China flights and hotels. We talk about our little girl all the time, and pray for her every day. We are getting so ready to see and hold her!
Tomorrow we have the opportunity to share with our church about how God grabbed our hearts for adoption and how Caylie JiuChang came to be ours. We want to share how God works and speaks in our lives, the plight of the orphan, and Caylie's story as we know it. We pray that God would speak to the hearts of those listening, that Truth would be spoken, and most of all, that He would be glorified.
Please continue to pray that God would be preparing both Caylie and us for becoming family!
