Summer into Fall

We've been busy over the last four weeks!

We moved into our house in mid-August.  I need to get more pictures of our house, but these will have to do for now.  This was the first thing we put up.  Our house was in shambles, but the foundation was laid.  :)

We rejoiced when we could get two of our cars in the garage!

Although the third space still looked like this for awhile.  (They just kept bringing boxes and boxes from storage!)  The third car fits in there now!

We enjoyed our first s'mores out on the back porch with our new fire pit.

Caylie thought they were yummy!

The kids started back to school, so now I sit in this twice a day.  This is just the line at Sam and Caylie's school.  I sit in another one at Justin's school!

A selfie of our first family dinner at our big table.

When we started unpacking boxes that had been in storage since March, I found some cute dresses that Caylie could have been wearing all summer!  This is one I bought while we were still in process for her adoption.  It finally fits her and we almost missed it!

There's a playground just down the street where the cutie girls like to play.

Caylie with her friends Ava and Genesis at church.
They are 4 and 3 1/2, and as you can see, she is the same size at age 7!

 Tessa being cute.  :)

Samuel started playing flag football and had his first game last week.  (He's in a gold shirt and gray shorts.)  He's learned a lot, both about the game and about working as a team and listening to the coach.  They got shut out 28-0 their first game, but he still had fun.

Here are a few short videos!
Sam making a tackle.

Carrying the ball.  And getting tackled.  ;)

At quarterback.

Caylie lost another tooth.  Now, if only she could ever find money under her pillow the actual night a tooth is lost, and not several nights after.  Ha!
 (Sorry, Caylie.  You're tooth-losing kid #5.  We're tired.)

My parents and aunt came to visit from Indiana last week.  Aunt Janiece is actually Tessa's great, great, great aunt!  (That's pretty darn great, wouldn't you say?)

Grandma with Caylie.
(There are other pictures of their visit in Justin and Tessa's birthday posts!)

Four generations of Odle women.  (My grandma was an Odle.)  Aunt Janiece (my grandma's sister), my mom, me, Brittany, and Tessa.  Clearly not in that order, haha.

Samuel and Caylie were out of school on Friday, so we made another trip to the Denver Zoo.  We've been looking forward to seeing these four new lions.  They are all "teenage" boys.

These lazy bears cracked us up.  So cute.

The gorillas always look so serious.

Caylie, Genesis, and Tessa

 Samuel wearing elephant ears.

And Genesis.

And Caylie.

And Tessa.

And then there's a real elephant.

Penguins for Brittany. :)

Caylie and Genesis making a new lizard friend.

And Tessa with a turtle friend.

Sam likes the crocodiles, but the komodo dragon takes a close second.

Friends.  :)
