April Already!

Caylie did a project for the school Science Fair.  She experimented with putting gummy bears into different liquids.

Justin went to his second Senior HighWinter Camp with Calvary Aurora.

I don't know why Brittany took this picture, but it's cute!

Samuel made the 8th grade honor roll at Sky Vista Middle School.  He has a great team of teachers on his side!

Nathan came to visit and we got to meet Abbey!  This was just a few days before they got engaged.

Video games were played.

Caylie and Justin colored Easter eggs.
And they did it quite goofily, it appears.

Justin's trombone rendition of
"Up From the Grave He Arose!"

Our second annual family photo!  I hope I can remember to do it every year.  We are blessed!

Justin's April Band Events

The annual EHS Band Banquet was in the early part of April.  Justin was a second-year letter recipient.
So proud of all his hard work!
Justin and his band director, Mr. Mabrey.

Justin and his friend Dylan, who was a mentor to Justin over the past two years.  He's graduating now, and Justin will be in the place of co-trombone section leader for the next marching season.

Me with some of the awesome Band Boosters!  These awesome mamas work hard for our band kids!

A couple of weeks later, the Wind Ensemble and Jazz 2 took a three-day trip to Grand Junction for the Colorado West Invitational Music Festival.  Most of these pictures are not mine!  But I'm glad they were taken and posted, so we could follow Justin on his adventures.

On the bus and taking selfies to amuse his mama.

Matthew 5

Sometimes it's hard to love a particular person.  Sometimes I've said to God, "What in the world am I supposed to do about this person??  I don't love them.  I don't even like them!  And yet, You've put them in my life.  What am I supposed to do??" And every time He says, "Pray for them.  Ask Me to bless them."

That is key, my friends.  Taking that little step of obedience, even (and especially) if you don't feel like it.  Ask God to bless that person.  It will change YOUR heart.

March Stuff

We had a blizzard!

But we have a live-in shoveling crew, so it's all good.  ⛄

Caylie had her quarterly visit to the endocrinologist.  She continues to have an HGH shot every night, and is the bravest kid I know!

Jim and I, along with Brad & Brittany, went to a couples dinner at church.  It was a fun night with Pastor Ed & Marie, worship with our friends Brad & Rachel, and we met some new friends at our table, as well.

Also at Calvary Aurora, it's March Missions Month!  (Not that missions is forgotten any month!)  I always love the flags.

And also at Calvary Aurora, our friends Ian and Katie talked about adoption one Wednesday night!  Ian is our worship pastor.  He and Katie have two adopted sons.  We are blessed to share this journey with them.

Justin was inducted into the Science National Honor Society!  So proud of him!
