End of May

We were busy the last weeks of May with end-of-school activities and beginning-of-summer ones!

Caylie had a fun field day at her school.
She's the second one in line.

Jim got back into softball.

In between warm, sunny days, we had more snowy ones.

Justin had his last middle school band concert.

(Hmm, I have video somewhere.  I will have to find it.)

Justin also had his 8th Grade Continuation.
Here we are waiting for it to start.

And when it did start, I wished I'd brought my good camera!

My hubby gave me roses for our anniversary, and Keelan gave me roses for Mothers' Day.

Justin and Keelan were recognized at Meadowood Church for completing 8th grade and 12th grade.  There was a time of prayer over Keelan as he begins his new season of life.

We made our first summer visit to the zoo!

(Yes, our new grandbaby is coming soon!)

Sometimes I get pics of things we don't see often.
 Like this pose.  Ha!

Everybody's got a water buffalo.

This is through the glass, but this little baby is so cute!

Peacocks are all over the zoo, but they rarely look like this!

This poor guy is bored.

We have a backyard to play in!

Our neighborhood pool is fun!
We'll be there a lot this summer.

Keelan's Graduation

Keelan graduated from Gateway High School on May 23.  He has already completed one year of auto mechanics classes at Pickens Technical College, and will continue there next fall.  We are very proud of him!

We took a few family pictures before the event.
Here he is with proud dad and mom.

Justin, Taylor, and Caylie with Keelan.
Samuel didn't want to be in the picture.
(We had a talk about that afterward . . . )

With Grandma and Grandpa Beck.

With Grandma Altman

This was on the jumbotron at the auditorium.

And here they come!

(And now will commence a whole lot of pictures entitled "Where's Keelan?"  Haha.)

He was in the first row.  Here they are lining up to get their photo taken and then up to the stage.

Almost his turn!

I was frustrated that I completely forgot about bringing my real camera.  These pictures are all taken with my phone - zoomed in as much as possible - so they're not real great.

Shaking the principal's hand.  It was washed out on the big screen, but it's as good as it was going to get.

Celebrating after turning the tassels.

And there they go.

Thanks to our friend Andrea for getting this shot of Keelan and Caylie!  This was outside after the event.

Congratulations, Keelan!  We're proud of you!

Keelan's Graduation Party

We had Keelan's graduation party a few days before graduation, on May 20.  I had planned for people to sit out on our big pack porch and play games in our new yard, but it turned out to be cold outside, and there was still snow melting from a spring storm a few days earlier.  So, we were all in the house!  But we had a fun time and loved visiting with family and friends who came to celebrate with Keelan.

Thanks for coming, friends and family!
