More June Stuff

We went to our friend Katie's wedding!  Katie's family was the first family we met when we moved to Colorado in 1996.  Her dad became our pastor shortly after.  Though the paths of our families' lives have diverged, we remain family.

Samuel Day!
On June 29 we celebrated Samuel being in our family for three years.  He chose to have lunch at a hibachi place.

Our last trip to the Denver Zoo before our pass expired!  Caylie was tired and also grumpy because we'd been looking at snakes.  Poor Caylie.  ;)

Dancing, Baseball and More June Stuff

Well, this post is all about Sam and Caylie!  We're not even halfway through June, but they've been very busy!

Caylie has been taking ballet and tap dancing lessons at Millers Dance Studio over the past nine months, and was in her first recital this last weekend.  These first pictures were during a practice on the day that they got their recital outfits.  They were very excited!

The next photos and the videos were taken at the dress rehearsal.  (Which is why there are many people standing in front of the stage!)

And these photos are the day of the recital!

This is her dance teacher, Miss Ashlee.  Caylie loves her.

Videos below.  In the first two, she's on the left end.  In the finale, she's in the back right, and you can't really see her.

Meanwhile, Samuel is playing on his first baseball team!  He's been excited about this for months.  So far they've won a game and lost a game, and he's learning more and more at each practice.

This photo before his first game.

At the ballpark and ready to go!

End of game.  Next time I'll take my real camera for better shots.

Our Copperleaf pool is open!

Fun with friends!

Sam got a haircut and took his own selfie!

And Caylie is wearing a dress that it's taken her several years to grow into!

Happy Summer!  🌞

Last Days of School and Into Summer!

These photos were taken by Sam with his iPod on the last day of school at Global Village Academy Douglas County.  So, as you can see, the quality isn't that great!

And with his English teacher, Miss Gallegos.

Our church life group had a cookout at our house on the first day of June.  Lots of fun and yummy s'mores!

Justin had his first marching band camp of the summer.  He's been very excited about this for awhile!  At this camp, the new band, including incoming freshmen, come together to learn the new music for the fall show, and to teach the newcomers marching technique.  They'll spend the summer memorizing the music, and then have a second camp at the end of July where they'll learn the marching show and perfect the music.

It was my first camp to help with hospitality and set-up.  Great fun, and I continue to be such a proud Raptor Regiment marching band mom!
